The flowers here in Louisiana are so beautiful. So, I am always taking pictures of them in the hope that I will get better at it. Louisiana has good soil, plenty of water and green house humidity so flowers and plants love it.
Our "Ned is Dead" group came to see us at the end of September. So a few pictures of them.
The men left to right: Larry Todd, John Woodward, Jim Wall, Darwin Paskett and Dad.
Judy Paskett on the left, Connie Woodward, unknown lady, swamp tour guide, John Woodward, Darwin Paskett and a side view of Connie Wall.
Swamp tour was fabulous.
The water is about 3 feet deep mostly. This swamp was at the edge of a lake, but the lake was only about 8 feet deep.
Another gator.
Swamp flower. In the spring, the swamp is covered with these huge beautiful flowers. In September, there are only a few left.
We took our friends to New Orleans.
We went into a mask store of which there are many......this mask that Sandy tried on cost about $500. You can see in the background some more very expensive masks.
YIKES!
We took them to the New Orleans Cemetery so they could see how some people are buried in style.
This is a monument to all law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. It was very touching.
Isn't that a funny lily pad?
Love to you all.
Carol
